The sport of Golf is going through a transformation. Although it is and will always be a sport based on the most skilled, golfers are now shoring up a solid game with the development of some good old fashion athleticism. Power training, conditioning and the like have taken route in the collegiate and professional ranks of golf.

Before you rush off to the nearest gym and pump up, golf athletes should understand the specific type of strength and power that your sport requires. You must adapt your program to a more athletic style so that you transfer the strength, speed and skill to your golf swing…

Keep in mind hitting the ball further is great, but you still must maintain your skill so that it goes to the target.  By developing your strength and power in an athletically usable way for golf, you will benefit from greater distance, consistency, and control.

You must develop torso rotational power. A closer look at the golf swing shows that rotational power is generated by the bodies large muscle groups of the thighs, hips, gluteals, lower back, and abdominals. Your flexibility and strength training should focus on developing these muscles. Traditional bodybuilding lifting and machine training will not give you the results you’re looking for. Here are a few basic and fairly simple exercises that require little equipment or experience but can do amazing things for your golf swing.

“I’ ve known Aaron since my Major League Baseball days, and we have started up again to focus on my new professional golf career.  With Perry’s assistance in golf and Aaron’s in conditioning you have two of the best in the country. I strongly encourage all to work with these two great instructors.”
